Air con and Wi-Fi were solid, and the kitchen had everything for family meals. Easy Uber to Slide & Splash and into Carvoeiro for dinner. We’ll be back next summer!”

Loved it Beautiful, quiet location and super comfortable beds. Morning coffee by the pool with that blue sky was heaven. The Book-direct instructions were clear, and check-in was smooth. It’s an easy base for boat trips to the caves and the boardwalk. Couldn’t fault a thing.

We’ve had a fantastic week here. The villa is really lovely. Well maintained, clean and spacious. We loved the pool area to relax by after a day out either at the beach, water park or exploring the local town. There are so many bars and restaurants that offer a lot of choice - we had great nights out for the whole week and each one was different. We’ve already booked to come again!

We stayed here a few years back and totally fell in love with the villa and it’s town. The villa itself if spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. The pool is perfect for families and the gardens have a stone BBQ and lots of sun loungers. We visited in June and was excellent value for money.

The villa is located close to local shops for self catering amenities and there is an Aldi a short car ride away. I would highly recommend the square. A gorgeous walk into it and the traditional shops, bars and beach provide chilled entertainment for any family. The local restaurants serve amazing fresh food and the cocktails are lethal!

Our age group span from 3 through to 73. We all loved the holiday. It is a beautiful, friendly town and we can’t wait to go back.

An absolutely beautiful villa, I’ve been 3 times now and will be booking to go again now restrictions are easing. The whole villa is bright and airy and immaculately clean. I can’t recommend it enough. The bbq is a great for a lazy day around the gorgeous pool, which has plenty of loungers and space for everyone. All bathrooms have plenty of towels and are really up to date with modern suites. Sky tv is a definite hit for the kids and husband and the maid who comes in a few times a week is so lovely and friendly too.
The villa is about a 15 mins pleasant walk from the centre which has everything you could want, with the lovely beach right there too. Evening entertainment in the square is great and everyone is so lovely and accommodating.
There are a few shops that are a 5 mins walk from the villa for morning papers and fresh bread or there is an Aldi a short taxi ride away.
There is a water park not to far away which is amazing, there are water slides and splash pools, animals to see and brilliant shows to watch too.
I honestly can’t speak highly enough of this villa, an absolutely perfect place to go with family or friends alike

Good Excelente casa

Lovely villa in a quiet location We had a lovely week staying here, the villa was perfect for our group which included young adults. Having a bathroom per couple was fantastic, it gave everyone their own privacy while still being together in one house. Maria (the maid) was lovely and kept the villa immaculate. We didn't hire a car and found it easy to walk to most places. We used Uber's for trips to the supermarket, waterpark and a few late night returns. These were really cheap and arrived in minutes. The area was really quiet and we had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Spacious, well equipped villa We had a lovely 2 week stay at this villa which was in a quiet location and spacious enough for our two families. The new bathrooms and kitchen are modern and clean, the kitchen was well equipped. We were greeted by Patricia who was very friendly and left a lovely welcome basket. It was a pleasant 15/20 minute walk to the centre with its many restaurants, shops and evening entertainment. Part of the walk back was up a steep hill but we all found Sangria and ice cream helped! We also stayed in a few nights and made use of the BBQ, buying some lovely meat from the Intermarche butcher. Maria, the maid, was very friendly and came twice a week, there were plenty of towels in all the bathrooms and some for the pool too. Sky as a big plus for the sport and general channels and a bonus that it was in English. All in a all a very relaxing holiday.

“Great family villa, great location, just a 20 minute walk to the beach.” This great villa is located within a 20 minute walk from Carvoeiro town and the beach, with a choice of supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. The villa was very well equipped and immaculately presented. A couple of observations that may be useful if you are thinking of booking this villa are that all of the beds are very hard; most of the pool is 2.1m deep with only a small area of 1.1m; and getting the car off the road into the parking area is a bit tricky. The pool is great but from a personal perspective we would have liked a bit more privacy around the pool area, another 2 feet of screening on the wall would have been appreciated. None of these prevented us having a fabulous holiday at this great villa. Thank you.

Excellent place to stay We really enjoyed our stay in Carvoeiro and the villa was excellent. Very clean and well equipped with a proper kitchen and 3 good sized bedrooms with a bathroom for each one.
We had 2 families staying (including 4 children, 7-13yrs) and the pool was enjoyed by all.
It's not a long walk to the centre and the beach but there's various routes to take and plenty to see on the way (highly recommend Cocktail Garden on the way back) but the taxis are reasonable too.
Also well situated for the water park (Slide & Splash; great day out) and only €12-15 in a taxi each way.
Would also recommend Peter from Algarve 365 for the airport transfer as he knows the area well.
And definitely do the boat ride to the caves from Carvoeiro beach.

Pleasant Villa in a quiet area Our party consisted of 4 adults and 3 children under 6 and the Villa had everything you could ask for amenity wise with the SKY TV (with Kids channels) being a godsend for the extremely Hot afternoons when it was better to keep the small ones inside, although the lack of Air con was the only down side we felt, as the roof fans in the lounge and dining room rattled so much they appeared to be falling off and the stand up fans in each bedroom only served to push the hot air around and opening windows only let the mosquitos in.
The pool was perfect for the small ones, as at any time they were always within reach of an adult, given the shallow end was not the largest or shallowest.
The cot unfortunately was in the upstairs bedroom and is a heavy wooden one, so was not practical for us, as it could not be moved, but Patricia the villa manager very quickly sorted out a travel cot for us, which was perfect.
Maria the cleaner was super and to be honest did more than i believe she was supposed to do and always had a smile and a word for everyone.
As for the walk to town, it is between 20 and 25 mins, dependent on the route taken, but the last part is quite steep whichever you take and a taxi back is a better option (5 to 8 Euro based on taxi size), although to avoid this there is always Monte Carvoeiro with a few bars and restaurants on the top, before the hill for a bite to eat or drink on the way down to town, or back.
Overall the whole party enjoyed our stay, so thanks to all at Casa Branco Grande.

Excellent for young family and grandparents This is a lovely villa just suitable in every way for a family with young baby, preschool child and grandparents. Lovely setup, well equipped and so quiet with just a 20 minute walk into town. There was an excellent resturant, mini supermarket and playground nearby. The addition of wifi and sky TV was also a bonus. A very nice welcome pack was greatfully received and Patricia the villa manager and Maria the cleaner were very helpfull and friendly. Could not wish for any more and would love to come back as this was a great holiday!

Fantastic villa would definitely return! We have just finished a fantastic 7 nights break at this villa and would definitely recommend it. The villa is very spacious and clean and has obviously been well looked after. The owners, villa manager and maid have all been very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Only about 20 minute walk in to carvoeiro centre and 30 minutes back up hill but a taxI is only 5 euros. I would definitely recommend a car to explore. The only slight down side was that the beds were very hard! And the pool maybe a little deep, only a small area for if you didn't want to go out of your depth.... but that's being picky!

The villa was perfect for us. The kids loved the garden and pool. For them, there was no reason to leave the house. Having satellite TV kept them occupied!

The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and the welcome pack was a "welcome" surprise.

We were a bit worried about a private villa but from the start everything went smoothly. Virgilio (Villa Manager) met us on arrival and the maid Maria came by regularly and was lovely, they give you a very welcoming feeling.

Beautiful, larger than average Villa My family really enjoyed our 2 week stay at Casa Barranco Grande. The bedrooms and bathrooms were larger than we had expected and we all enjoyed the pool and the garden.
We really liked the roof terrace in the evening sun with a glass of something cool.
Overall we were very impressed with the Villa and Carvoiero and especially Maria the maid who was very sweet.

Well presented, relaxing holiday villa with a great little pool. A 3 bed villa in the Algarve some 10 minutes (by car) form the small seaside town of Carvoiero. The villa lacks very little in the way of the necessary amenities - a nice pool that is serviced twice a week, Sky TV offering sport and movies (never seen that before!), a cleaner who comes frequently.....and it's quiet. The road next to the villa is just for the immediate villas. We were a little disappointed that there was so little left in the way of cleaning items (soap, washing up liquid and washing powder) but that's being picky, overall a really nice place for 3 couples or a family. Not too young though, the pool has very little shallow end, it drops off very quickly into deeper parts.

Just brilliant, lovely villa, great location We booked this villa for a party of six to attend a wedding. It s a beautiful villa, lovely and clean and the cleaning lady is lovely, she gives cuddles. It is peaceful but not far to walk to the lovely little town.It is only bout 5 euros for a taxi back. If you don't want to go into town, there is a lovely square nearby with great choice of restaurants . The villa is spacious and each couple had their own bathroom. It is lovely to have your own pool.We had a fantastic week and would definitely recommend a holiday here.

The villa on the website looked too good to be true, but it exceeded our expectations We only had a small window in May to take a holiday with our 2 grown up sons and partners, so we were surprised we got Casa Branco Grande for 10 days at a great price, the bedrooms , bathrooms were excellent and pool area had the sun allday, it was a 15 minute stroll into town in the evening, all in all fantastic holiday in a fantastic villa,we will be back

Relaxing and battery re-charging break I stayed at the Villa in mid September for a week, for a break with the wife and daughter.

This was our first visit to Portugal. Some friends had spent a week in Albufeira and the short direct flight from Dublin really appealed.

The villa itself is excellent and fitted out with modern and stylish décor. There was plenty of space and a great kitchen as well. The washing machine was really handy for the babys clothes . A nice touch on my arrival was the welcome pack, which was not expected, but very much well received.

The villa was within walking distance to the beach, good quality restaurants (five mins walk to a French place called L’Orange, which is good, family friendly and not extortionate).

The place was a good base to take day trips from. We went up to Monichique and back which we really enjoyed

If you are looking a relaxing break in an area that’s got enough to do , but still allows you to relax at home then id recommend this place.

Holiday to remember! Stayed here in 2009 with my husband, sister & brother in law and 2 nieces.

It has everything you need for a perfect holiday. The villa and pool were lovely and clean. The layout worked well as there's so much space you didn't feel like you were living on top of each other.

This villia is an ideal place to stay whether you just want to get away and relax by the pool or if your looking for a bit of advernture you don't have to go far to find something to do!

Excellent value for money and looking to go back again this year with a group of friends.

Away from it all... My wife and 3 year old daughter, my two sisters with her 3 year old niece and 5 year old nephew and I had a lovely week long stay in Carvoeiro. The kids loved the pool and it was great just to sit back and get quality time with my sisters, and not have to worry about missing the big game as there is Sky TV!

Though the weather wasn't always as great as we hoped it was still a lot, lot better than back home!

Lovely place, fully recommend it.
