Location and FAQ

Walking from the villa to Carvoeiro beach / town takes around 15mins.  Supermarkets are a similar distance but there are shops and facilities in Monte Santo and Quinta do Paraiso where you can pick up some basics.

Typically, we walk down to the beach and take a taxi back up at a cost of around Eur5.  Uber is another good option 

A car is not a necessity although it would be recommended if you are planning on exploring the area.  Otherwise I would recommend using Uber or the local taxis.

Renting a car is one option or alternatively there a shuttle services such as Algarve365 and Hoppa that provide private or shared drop-offs

Yes, both are available for your use in the villa

Yes, the villa comes fully equipped with towels & linen which will be changed during your stay.  We do not provide beach towels, or any towel that you may wish to use outside of the property.  Doing so may result in professional laundering fees being deducted from your security deposit

Unfortunately not

Electricity supply in Portugal is 220v (same as UK) and the sockets are the standard European twin pin type.  There are a number of adapters available in the villa, however you would be well advised to bring additional for use during your stay

Yes, the villa is cooled by newly installed air con units.

Yes, the pool is heated to 27C all year round

You should expect to be able to enter the villa at 1500 hours. Departure from the property is at 1000 hours unless we have agreed to an extension. In reality we will always do our best to get you in to your property as early as possible – even if that means using only certain rooms whilst the maid complete’s their work.

Intermarche is the closest, that is around 1.5kn away.  There is a smaller mini-mart at the nearby Quinta do Pariaso complex

The area around Carvoeiro is blessed with natural beauty and whole load of excursions and attractions.  Our friends at Algarvefun have collated a lot of info around this.  A selection of them can be found in our Things to do guide.

Gramacho Golf Resort is the closest which is 5 mins drive away. 

Our villa manager Patricia is available to respond to your urgent needs during your stay. Her contact details will be made available to you before your arrival

Your security deposit will be returned to you – less any deductions for damage – as soon as possible after your departure from the villa. Typically within a few days.

A deposit of 25% is payable at the point of booking to secure your reservation.  Your balance is due 60days before check-in.

Payments are handled through PayPal allowing you to pay by credit or debit card.  

Automated payment requests will be sent to you by email to help you through this process
